The majority of European shipment is secured inadequately or is not secured at all. The rate of unsecured cargo could be well over 50%. For this reason, the industry in Europe needs consolidated expertise and the highest possible level of legal protection in this area.

The present status quo is inadequate for industrial companies. The European Competence Center supports EU-wide standards. These are not just important in Germany but also particularly necessary in countries bordering Germany and further afield.

The complex interrelation between the law and the physics of load securing has to be comprehensible and practical.

In addition, road, rail and sea routes have to be considered as a whole. This requires the competence of a pool of experts, now operating throughout Europe.
